My husband and 2 teenage sons and I had a wonderful stay. The hotel is a short 5 m walk into San Juan de largo and a 10 m walk to San Pedro. It’s nice to be out of the town and the hotel it’s own pontoon which my sons spent all their time diving off into the gorgeous lake. The gardens are tropical and full of butterflies and birds and the dawn chorus is amazing. We had a great view of the Mayan face (rostro Maya) from our room. The views from the hotel restaurant are spectacular. The food is reasonably priced and the breakfast delicious. The staff very friendly and all from the local town. I’m so glad I booked here. It was the perfect location.

It takes a 30 minute boat ride to the hotel and property is on edge, but up hill and about 10 minutes away from downtown San Juan. Property is not kept up, rooms have a musky humid smell, lots of bugs, no ac, dirty (or stained) towels, sketchy looking shower, abandoned jacuzzi, dirty “massage” beds. This is a good hotel for backpackers that aren’t concerned about facilities, but definitely not families. For $109 I was expecting bit more. In fact, we didn’t shower and we left early cus we didn’t have a restful night due to bugs. I wanted to like this place but has work to do. Pro tip: stay in mainland Panajachel and pay a bit more for a decent stay.

A little bit surprised by the raves for this place tbh. I hate to leave a mediocre review for a place where everyone was so friendly. The view of the lake is amazing, so in that sense the location is good, but it’s quite a hike to the town. (Tuk tuks are cheap tho.) They we’re remodeling rooms all day—in case you like to rest during the day. I think the biggest negative was this stingy little glass of late-night wine for $6. I hadn’t taken either of my free breakfasts but wanted one glass of red wine after dinner in town one night and the owner literally poured in inch out of a nearly full bottle and said 35 quetzals. Idk. Just seemed wrong.

Great Spot! So authentic and genuine. I brought a small group of 11 here and we had a blast. It's basic but very clean and the views are worth it. Also close to town but super quiet. I recommend this spot hands down.

Great value for money hotel with nice staff and nice view of the lake. Approximately 10 minutes walk into the town of San Juan La Laguna. On-site restaurant with good breakfast. Room was big, yet basic. You can rent kayaks for free and start paddling directly from outside the hotel. Lovely kept grounds as well. Be prepared for steep steps though, as the hotel is built at the side of a mountain.

Such a quaint hotel, quiet, off the beaten path. So many common areas to just hang out and enjoy beautiful Lake Atitlan. We only stayed 1 night but would definitely recommend for longer periods if you would like peace and quiet. Restaurant on site with great meals, all the staff here are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are quaint and clean with beautiful lake views.

J'ai passé 4 nuits dans cette établissement et j'ai apprécié mon séjour. Petite chambre confortable avec eau chaude et vue sur le lac. Cuisine acceptable. Mise à disposition de kayaks gratuitement. Possibilité de faire venir la lancha publique au débarcadère de l'hôtel. Pour la réservation des tours il vaut mieux voir vous même car les prix sont bien plus chers en passant par l'hôtel.
